These are some of the views as Gaylen and I went for walk up the street from our house. There is a trail up the mountain and the veiw is amazing! The beauty we have been blessed with makes me so happy! When I am having a bad day and get down on myself I look at the beauty of the world and thank my Father in Heaven for all he has given me!

Katherine turned 11. My birthday was in the middle of April. We have been partying all month. :)

I haven't been keeping up on my blog very well, I've been taking up my time on facebook. It's fun check it out.

Alisa turned 16 last month. She's gotten her permit and has to bank up 30-60 hours of driving and take drivers ed. to get full license. I've been trying not to stress out too much when she is behind to wheel. Its kind of funny Gaylen is worse about that than me.

No new pics., but I want to keep you up too date.

Gaylen got released from being a primary teacher today. I would have liked to have been released with him, but not such luck. He is still working at IMFlash and since they have announced more layoffs in Boise, we are realizing even more than ever of how very blessed we are.

I'm busy working on Easter dresses for my two youngest daughters. Alisa wants a Easter dress but doesn't really want one with smocking and embroidery. I have too start to work a little faster or they will never get done. I don't know why much longer that the other two will want hand made dresses. I will sew for them as long as I can. Or as long as they will wear the clothes.

All the kids are doing well in school. Emma has too memorize a couple of short poems. We passed one off and has one more to go.

Katherine is doing much better with staying on task, and getting homework turned in. She is so smart, but has had a problem finishing.

Alex is really enjoying the middle school and the music program they have to offer. He has joined the jazz band which gives him a bigger challenge than just the regular band does.

Alisa just got done with her play she was in "Fortress". She has tried out for a musical and got a part with a solo. The play is "Once on This Island". The play is in May. The practices will be long but I think I can get along without her for at least a little while.

All in all we are staying busy and trying to keep out of trouble.

Okay, I'm still alive! Barely. :0 This has been a real challenging couple of months. Alex went back to Public school and likes it so much better for the most part. They have a much better music program. If I can just get him through his teenage years. He has a few problems that he has to work out.

Alisa has her learners permit and is driving a little. Now I have to get her inrolled in drivers ed. At the moment they don't have that program running at the Charter school that she is attending. She is leaving on a trip the Vegas with the School English and Drama dept. They get to go see "The Phantom of the Opera" I'm just a little jeleous. She should be back on Sat.

Katherine is continuing to do well in the 5th grade. She keeps wanting me to help her make cinnamon rolls. I just need to stop whatever I'm doing at the time and spend some time with her and teach her.

Emma really keeps me busy. She is such the social bug and always wants to play at a friends house or have them over here. It's tuff to keep up with her.

Gaylen stays busy at work and spending time with us when not at work.

As for myself, I just try to keep my sanity. trying to keep up with my kids is a full time job. I don't know how my mom ever did it and work full time to support her family. I'm sure she had many blessing from the Lord.

We just got back from Eastern Idaho. What a trip! The roads up were very bad. The roads back were great, thanks too a little bit of a thaw. Things at my mothers were pretty loud. With 10 of the 29 grandkids present most of the time. But it was fun visiting with grandma, cousins, and Aunts.

Gaylen took the kids sledding yesterday. He is feeling it today. Just a little sore. They had fun and got very wet. When they got home we had hot soup ready for them. You could say it was the perfect snow day.

We also got a chance too visit with the kids' Grandma Pierson on Sunday. We enjoyed spending time with her also. The kids got a $10 bill from her and their Aunt Denise. The catch was that it was in a 3-D maze puzzle. They had too figure it out before they could open it and get their money out. That kept them busy for a little while. It was a challenge.

This year will start pretty crumby. I won't have anyone to kiss when the clock strikes midnight. Gaylen will be working that night. And the next and the next. But, There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Next week he gets to be on the day shift at least for 4 months. That will be a good change for at least a little while!
